Part of the VHG Group, Petits Poussins DUMBO is one of six French-English bilingual daycares and preschools across New York City, with sister locations in the Upper East Side, West Harlem, and Downtown Brooklyn. Our newest center in the heart of Brooklyn offers a nurturing, multilingual environment for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, where language, learning, and love come together every day.

Our Programs

We offer high-quality care and early education programs inspired by both the French National Curriculum and New York State Standards. At Petits Poussins DUMBO, we believe that early bilingual exposure lays the foundation for a lifetime of confident communication and cognitive development.

  • Infant & Toddler Care (6 weeks – 24 months)

    In a warm setting, little ones are guided through their first developmental milestones.

  • Preschool (2 – 5 years)

    A dynamic, art-based program that fosters bilingualism, early literacy, independence, and social-emotional growth.

Bilingual Education & Curriculum

Our immersive curriculum emphasizes early language acquisition in both French and English, blending structured learning with creative exploration. Activities such as storytelling, sing-alongs, drawing, and hands-on play support vocabulary development in a fun, low-pressure environment where children feel confident to express themselves.

We recognize and support each child’s unique learning style—what we refer to as their “Multiple Intelligences.” Our teachers adapt instruction to meet individual needs, creating an inclusive, responsive, and joyful classroom experience.

  • Preschool Rooms: Up to 1:10 for older groups
